Creative Journey Log: Day 1

Recently read and got really inspired by Austin Kleon’s amazing book Show Your Work, and decided to start documenting my daily creative process on this blog, and also my Instagram. I hope that you can learn something from following along the journey – I’ll probably make some dumbass mistakes so you don’t have to hahaha.

I’ve been feeling mad blessed being down in London, and super eager to just get to making shit again, so I spent some time brainstorming some no-budget 1 minute short ideas to do with the guys. When I’m brainstorming new ideas, I tend to walk around outside, use voice typing on my phone and just brain dump. It makes me feel productive when I see I’ve written like 2000 words in 45 minutes, even if all of it is completely unusable word vomit lol.

I find speaking out loud really helps me keep the ideas flowing, it allows me to throw a lot more shit at the wall faster to see what sticks. Sometimes I surprise myself with a random idea I wouldn’t have come up with if I was sat down staring at a blank page.
